Which JSON Schema versions are supported?
Draft 2020-12, 2019-09 and draft-07. The draft is picked from the schema's $schema keyword, or you can choose one. Draft-04 and draft-06 schemas usually validate correctly when run as draft-07.
How do I read the errors?
Each error shows the path to the failing value (like $.items[2].id), what is wrong with it, and the schema keyword that rejected it — type, required, enum, format and so on. All errors are shown at once, not just the first.
How do I generate a JSON Schema from JSON?
Open the Generate tab and paste an example. The tool infers types, marks keys required when they appear in every sample, merges arrays of objects into one definition, and can detect formats such as email, date-time and uri. Click Validate against this schema to test it immediately.
Are formats like email and date-time validated?
Yes. Format checking is optional in the JSON Schema spec, so some validators skip it, but this tool checks the standard formats.
Will results match my application?
Validation uses Ajv, the most widely used JavaScript validator, so results match Node.js code that uses Ajv. Other validators can differ on edge cases such as format checking.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Validation and generation both run in your browser.
